Jay Veerayano is an internationally recognized voice teacher, singer-songwriter, and music educator based in Bangkok, Thailand. As Vice President of "The Art of Entertainment Academy, BLKGEM," he plays a key role in artist development, new artist recruitment, teacher training, and curriculum design. With over 28 years of experience, Jay has trained singers across various genres, specializing in vocal technique, performance artistry, and vocal health.
Jay is deeply passionate about helping singers unlock their full potential and achieve their highest level of artistry. He believes every voice is unique and works closely with his students to develop their individual sound, refine technique, and build confidence for performances. His approach is both technical and personalized, ensuring singers achieve vocal mastery while embracing their authentic musical identity.
As one of Thailand’s most accomplished vocal coaches, Jay was honored with the Excellence in Music Teaching Award for Pop Rock Vocals from Trinity College London in 2019 and 2021. His students have become successful recording artists, international singing competition winners, and scholarship recipients at prestigious music colleges. Many have secured roles on major TV networks such as NBC and performed in Broadway productions including Miss Saigon, Beauty and the Beast, and Trevor: The Musical.
Jay has also played a pivotal role in discovering, training, and launching numerous GMM MUSIC artists, many of whom have gone on to become Thai pop superstars, filling arenas with sold-out concerts and dominating music charts. His students headline major music festivals, perform on national television, and garner millions of streams worldwide. Through his expertise, he has helped shape the next generation of Thailand’s biggest music icons, solidifying his influence in the industry.
Committed to raising the standard of Thai singers to international levels, Jay frequently conducts vocal workshops and seminars across Thailand, collaborating with schools and universities as part of his community outreach efforts. He has also led international vocal workshops in Los Angeles, New York, Mainland China, the UK, and Austria. In Los Angeles, he co-taught an intensive artist bootcamp with American Idol vocal coaches Peisha and Adriana McPhee. In 2020, he was invited to be a vocal coach for an undisclosed FOX television show but had to decline due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Jay is a certified Mentor Instructor and Ambassador of the Institute for Vocal Advancement (IVA), a globally recognized vocal instructor organization. Achieving this level of certification required nine years of rigorous training, pedagogy, workshops, and annual vocal and teaching evaluations, making him the first person in Asia to earn this distinction. He also holds a Speech Level Singing Instructor Certificate (Level 4), a certification from the Vocal Health Organization, and a certification from Modern Vocal Training. He has trained with esteemed voice teachers, including Seth Riggs, Greg Enriquez, Spencer Welch, Roberto delli Carri , Jeffrey Skouson, Kathy Kennedy, Linda Tomkinson, Stephanie Borm-Krueger, Monique Thomas, Peisha McPhee, and many more.
