PROGRAMS FOR SINGING TEACHERS
Which feels most right for you?
Fundamentals of Teaching Singing
You want to learn the foundational concepts of teaching singers.
You are not alone.
Teaching singing can be an isolating endeavor. When something doesn't click with a student, it doesn't take long for imposter syndrome, doubt, and frustration to creep in. Then, on top of the teaching part of your job, you're also running a business, which comes with its own set of challenges.
At Vocal Advancement, we believe you shouldn't have to figure out teaching on your own. Whether you've had success as a teacher or are just starting out, we invite you to train with us. Here, you can master both the philosophy and practicality of teaching singing alongside a community that cares about your success
Your Options
Fundamentals of Teaching Singing (1 Year)
The Fundamentals of Teaching Singing course is a one-year program covering the terms, techniques and thinking behind teaching singing. It stands on its own, and for many teachers it is all they need. Once you finish, you can choose to continue onto our Professional Singing Teacher course.
In this online program, we introduce the fundamentals of teaching singing, including:
- Setting goals and establishing structure for your students
- The science behind a voice
- Our "Cause and Effect" method for improving a voice
- The three main components of a voice and prioritizing changes
- Quick-fixes for common singing issues
- Teaching strategies for vocal balance
- Building a "teaching toolbox" of techniques
- Go-to lesson plans for common problems
- Seamless application of techniques for a professional result
- And more!
Option 2: The Vocal Advancement Community (Coming soon)
A free community for singers and singing teachers. Opens October 29, 2026.
Open discussions, monthly challenges, and highlights from every masterclass. There’s an optional membership for anyone who wants the live masterclass, the Teachers’ Room, the monthly teachers’ Q&A and the replay library.
