"IVA is the most wonderful community I ever had the chance to be a part of. The support you get from whether IVA itself or the huge network of other teachers from all over the world is truly unique. Joining IVA was the best decision not only for my teaching but for my voice and performance as well. Thank you for everything so far and for everything that's about to come."

Julian Rolinger

"I have been trained by and communicate with voice teachers worldwide through IVA. The education for teachers is well organized and really helpful in my teaching career. The great benefit of joining IVA is that you will not only learn about teaching but also develop as a musician as well. I highly recommend to those who want to be a better teacher to join IVA."

Jane Shin

South Korea

"I joined IVA as a brand-new teacher without any experience, and during the last decade as a teacher with IVA, I have grown as a teacher and as a person. My social and colleague circles have widened worldwide, and I love the supportive nature of the community. If you want top-class vocal education AND a network of teachers, colleagues, and friends you can rely on, IVA is for you!"

Laura Dumbleton

"IVA has been a total life-changer for me. I have grown so much more than I could have ever imagined as a singer, teacher, and leader through this program, even though I already have a music degree. My career is going places I never imagined, and I attribute that to the quality of this amazing program. The intensive training, support, and friendships with other like-minded teachers are invaluable to me."

The LIST explores real topics that singing teachers care about. Expect discussions around vocal function, teaching strategy, business, vocal health, performance, and current research. The focus isn’t on a fixed curriculum, but on relevant conversations that evolve with the community.

Members regularly suggest topics, ask questions, and shape future discussions. Office Hours and AMA sessions are designed to respond directly to what teachers indicate they want most.

No. The LIST is not certification or structured training. IVA’s training programs provide guided education and accreditation, while The LIST is an ongoing professional community for conversation, exploration, and connection.

You’re in the right place.

Hi, I'm Tom, Co-founder of Vocal Advancement. Like many teachers, my journey started with a love of singing and a desire to better understand how to help voices grow. Teaching can be incredibly rewarding, but it can also feel isolating without the right professional environment.

Early in my teaching career, I remember trying to make sense of conflicting ideas, endless opinions, and too much noise online. That challenge hasn’t disappeared. If anything, the amount of information teachers navigate today has only grown.

Many experienced teachers are looking for a space where conversations go deeper than social media posts. A professional community offers perspective, shared experience, and ongoing dialogue that helps teachers stay curious and supported.

That’s why we created The LIST. Not as another course, but as a professional environment where experienced singing teachers can think, discuss, and grow together.
